One of the biggest and most vibrant metropolis city of India, Mumbai, the financial capital and economic powerhouse, is also the home of India’s Hindi film industry- the Bollywood.  It has become a potpourri of various communities and cultures. The city is named after the patron goddess Mumba Devi and has several tourists’ attractions.

The Gateway of India is a huge arched gate, which is said to be the entry point for visitors from the west. Other landmarks of Mumbai include the Siddhivinayak Temple, dedicated to Mumbai’s favourite God, Ganesha. Mumbai is also home to the famous Mahalaxmi Temple, Haji Ali Dargah, Hanging Gardens and museums including Prince Wales Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Jehangir Art Gallery.

Mumbai also has several interesting getaways close by, especially popular being Lonavala-Khandala, Matheran, Mahabaleshwar, Alibaug and Pune.
